STARTUP IN ARCHITECTURE

As part of the implementation of the recent Higher Education reforms established by the MESRS, particularly Decree 1275, which introduces a dual degree for Master's 2 students who create a startup while completing their final year project,

The Institute of Architecture and Earth Sciences of Sétif, in collaboration with the Habitat and Environment Laboratory and the HCA Foundation, is pleased to invite you to attend a day dedicated to Startups in Architecture, hosted by guest speaker Architect SOUAMI Adel on February 23, 2025, at 9:30 AM at the IAST Auditorium in Sétif.

The objective is to raise awareness among architecture students about these reforms, enabling them to align with the startup creator profile and seize these opportunities instead of remaining on the sidelines, just as their peers in other fields have done.

The event will focus on exploring the concept of startups in relation to the field of Architecture.

The day will be structured around three main themes:

• A global and contextualized definition of what a startup is;
• An in-depth analysis of the potential for startup creation in the field of Architecture;
• A discussion of strategies and tools that help students unlock their creativity and transform their ideas into viable entrepreneurial projects.

The event will be organized in two phases: a plenary conference intended for faculty members and students from all levels of Architecture, followed by a project consultation session for Master's 1 and 2 students who wish to develop startup ideas based on their academic projects.
