The Head of the Department of Earth Sciences assumes the following responsibilities:
- Ensuring the proper functioning and regular monitoring of the offices under his authority.
- Overseeing the academic progress of the open specializations, particularly by ensuring the teaching of the designated courses and compliance with the scheduled timetables.
- Supervising the administration of scheduled examinations within the specializations in accordance with the established calendar.
- Ensuring the smooth conduct and organization of deliberations.
- Validating study certificates and graduation diplomas jointly with the Director of the Institute and the Rector of the University.
- Certifying transcripts.
